Who Is Behind All of This?
Behind Wacky Cool & The Golden Pomegranate Society is Ronit Reitich — an artist, photographer, designer, entrepreneur, mother, whose work lives at the intersection of nature, storytelling, beauty, and faith.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the possibility that Hashem (God) is trying to tell us something through creation. Not in a dramatic “the trees are secretly whispering prophecy” sort of way, but in the sense that the natural world seems filled with clues, patterns, symbols, and tiny acts of genius that point back to the One who designed it all.
Through years of photography, storytelling, motherhood, wandering through forests, staring suspiciously at mushrooms, collecting far too many nature things, and studying Torah, I began noticing that everywhere I looked there was wisdom hidden in plain sight. Seeds, bees, rivers, spider webs, migrating birds and iguanas— they all seemed to be speaking the same language.
What started as a personal obsession slowly became something much bigger.
I spent years creating stories, lessons, photographs, field notes, and adventures that helped me (and eventually my family) pay closer attention to the world around us. Wacky Cool & The Golden Pomegranate Society grew out of that journey.
It’s my way of sharing the wonder I keep stumbling into.
Every month, through letters, discoveries, mysteries, photographs, symbols, and the occasionally overdramatic field report from Tevi, I invite fellow explorers to join me in looking a little closer at creation.
Because I’ve come to believe that the world is far more enchanted than it first appears — and that if we learn how to pay attention, we may discover that Hashem has been leaving us clues all along.
